Country music star Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are engaged!

The couple officially announced the news on Tuesday on their social media accounts with a photo of the couple sharing a kiss with the 51-year-old Stefani showing off her new bling. The couple recently got engaged in Shelton’s home state of Oklahoma, according to several reports.

The announcement comes weeks after Stefani told Extra that she finds it “cute” and “funny” when people refer to Shelton as her husband.

“Do you know how many people say my ‘husband’ about him?” she said. “I guess we’re just together.”

Prior to that, she corrected Dua Lipa on Jimmy Kimmel Live after the singer referred to Shelton as her husband.

“Um, well … he’s not my husband, but that sounded cool when you said it,” Stefani said.

The couple first met on NBC’s The Voice back in 2015 as they bonded following their recent divorces. The pair became inseparable and have been together ever since.

“When you’re where she and I were, and you just feel so betrayed and on the bottom, this bond that we formed when we found out what each other were going through, it’s still there,” Shelton previously told PEOPLE.
