English politician Michael Gove’s dance moves have gone viral after footage of him raving at Pipe nightclub in Scotland’s Aberdeen was leaked.
Scottish singer Emma Lamont posted a video on Facebook, showing the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, 54, as he threw some shapes. Lament had just finished performing a set when Gove, dressed in a suit but no tie, leapt up to dance like no-one’s watching.
Strictly Come Dancing judge, Craig Revel Horwood, has hit back with a hilarious critique scoring Gove a mere three out of 10.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge appeared on Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine to discuss this year’s star-studded Strictly cast, but couldn’t help commenting on the video, stating it lacked “real urgency or inner rhythm”.
When asked about the video, Craig replied: “I think it is absolutely hilarious and I have got to say this, that I have to embrace people going out and enjoying themselves and dancing, no matter in what form.
“However, there is a technical issue here, darling, as well. As a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, I can only comment technically on it.
“I don’t care how people dance, in that respect. But if you are going out to a nightclub at some ungodly hour in the morning, 1.30 in the morning … and you get filmed doing this sort of dancing, then it is your own fault, quite frankly.
“I would say he should be a little bit more technical if you are going to be in public doing it. At least rehearse it at home, I would say.”
According to the dance mogul, Gove’s dance problems begin at the “core”.
You’ve got to hand it to Gove, what a guy!
