NeNe Leakes’ Husband, Gregg Leakes, Dies Of Cancer At Age 66

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star said over the weekend that Gregg was beginning to lose his battle with cancer.

NeNe Leakes’ husband, Gregg Leakes, has died of colon cancer at age 66, sources have confirmed to FWRD AXIS.

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star said over the weekend that Gregg was beginning to lose his battle with cancer, saying on a podcast: “My husband is transitioning to the other side.”

“Today, the Leakes family is in deep pain with a broken heart. After a long battle with cancer, Gregg Leakes has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones and wife NeNe Leakes,” the couple’s rep said in a press release.

“We ask that you pray for peace and strength over their family and allow them to mourn in private during this very, very difficult time,” the statement concluded.

Gregg was first diagnosed with colon cancer back in 2018 and went into remission. NeNe revealed in June 2020 cancer had returned and Gregg had undergone surgery.

“He’s super small,” she said at the time. “If you’ve ever been around somebody who’s had cancer before, he’s different. He’s different.”
